On August 30th, Keeping Hope Alive and Ferrari Owners Club Singapore spent a Sunday with 30 kids from rental blocks in Ang Mo Kio. We had invited them through door knocking visits in the weeks prior. On the morning itself, 30 Ferrari drivers, 30 kids, and around 30 KHA volunteers showed up - close to 100 people in total.

The route took them through Marina Bay Sands and Changi Airport.

After the drive, the children were brought to Decathlon for a sponsored shopping trip. Some knew exactly what they wanted. A few boys pooled their budgets for floorball sticks, a ball and a net - so they could play together as neighbors. Some picked up foldable chairs.

The day ended at McDonald's. Ferrari drivers and KHA volunteers carried the children's bags out of the cars and into the restaurant. Then we sat down together for a meal before sending the kids home.

It is not a sight you see every day - a row of supercars pulled into a small car park, their drivers lugging shopping bags alongside volunteers, children in tow. But there it was.
